This site offers a quick user survey, which was closed on 4 May 2009.

The results remain valid and can be downloaded here.

They have been brought to the attention of the WG SR Leadership Team, right away.

Key findings are:

  • The claim, that the guidance in ISO 26000 is applicable to all organizations regardless of their type, size and location (as stated in its scope) does not seem realistic; particularly micro organizations (up to 10 persons) deny the applicability.
  • The claim, that all core subjects are relevant to all organizations does not seem to reflect practical terms. Especially micro and small organizations (up to 50 persons) deny this.
  • The smaller the organization and the more local its operation, the less useful
    ISO 26000 is considered.

The rest of this page is kept only for the records.

As mentioned in section “CD1 as of 2008-12” the current draft is based on experiences and perspectives of members of the ISO Working Group. A user survey did not take place, yet.

This one now intends to collect as much feedback as possible from organizations of any type, size or location. The results will help further improve the ISO 26000 Guidance Standard.

As visitor of this website you are kindly invited to participate. Your opinion is important! Answering the 8 questions does not cost you more than 5 minutes.

Please participate!

After having studied the draft CD1 (its structure is given under this link, the whole document is downloadable from www.iso.org/wgsr ), or being informed through other sources, the questions are:

Four questions on substance Four questions on statistics
1. Does the standard offer helpful, practical and applicable guidance for your organization? 5. To which category does your organization belong?
2. Would your organization make use of
ISO 26000?
6. How many employees has your
organization?
3. What are your background deliberation on the answers to 1 and 2? 7. In which region does your organization mainly operate?
4. What are your proposals for the further development of the ISO 26000 draft? 8. Name of your company or organization? (voluntary, you may write ‘void’ or ‘no reply’)

Please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=cavr5sHBVdlYscF8IG97UQ_3d_3d
and answer the multiple choice questions resp. offer your opinion and proposal.

The author will summarize the results and bring them to the attention of the Working Group members and the Working Group leadership, in due course before the next meeting on 18 May 2009 in Quebec; and show them on this website.
